  Honestly, this place is incredible- the service is impeccable, constantly; Marta and Morgan have never, since day one, made me feel anything but welcomed. The bartenders are attentive, friendly, and genuinely concerned with their customers' satisfaction. These girls work their butts off and it shows through their accurate and consistent pours and timely delivery of drinks and food.
  It doesn't hurt that they have the best wings in town. THE BEST! So let's talk about the food - I have never had any negative thoughts about the food here; the sandwiches are hearty and delicious every time and the fried cheese curds are TO DIE FOR.
  In closing, you would be crazy to not give this place a try. After one visit I became a regular. I come here for the great service, sumptuous food, and mostly awesome music (wink). I love this place and it's unfortunate - not to mention unbelievable- that anyone would think otherwise.

  Service here is lacking. What would you expect from the typical king st crowd of servers? It's owned by the rogue, garage, etc. It's pretty sad how great these places could be. Don't get me wrong, there are some excellent serves, but on the wrong night you will be waiting. They care more about the conversations they have going with coworkers than they do patrons. It's pathetic. I ordered wings, they were ok, almost under cooked but still edible. I also had a bacon blue cheese burger. The burger wasn't the best, the bun had a burnt flavor, the Blu cheese was a disgusting cold clump of compacted nastiness

  OK Matt M. This one's for you....
  
  I will preface this review with the fact that I'm not a vegan nor a vegetarian, but I absolutely enjoyed George's Special recommended by fellow Yelper, Matt M. It is served with a dill spear and a copious amount of crispy potato chips. I ordered at the bar and took my food to-go.
  
  Who the hell is George, you might ask? Well according to a 2013 article I found on Jacksonville Business Journal online, the sandwich was named after a prominent Jacksonville attorney George Gabel, who I suppose, was a regular customer back in the day.
  
  The George's Special [priced right at $7.25] is simply marinated tomatoes, a generous amount of crumbled feta cheese and a perfect fresh salad of tabbouleh including diced cucumbers stuffed full into a toasted pita and sliced. It's not very complicated yet it is really flavorful, filling and guaranteed to NOT make you feel weighed down.
  
  The staff here is laidback and unpretentious. And the atmosphere is totally inviting. I mean, it's a bar - so it's perfect for day drinkers and a perfect spot for lunch. I could see myself coming here late night, too...
  
  Their Cuban sandwich is next on deck so I will be back. Love this place.

  We found this great old (new to me) place more of a tavern than a deli. On a Friday night the dining area was mostly empty but the bar was lively. There are actually two full liquor bars in the place with a small selection of draft mostly local beers. Loved the vibe in this place and a great bar offering amazing food is a win-win for us. We enjoyed a few drinks and started with a small 5 piece order of chicken wings to try them out. They were amazing and next time we are getting a larger order. So many fried items on the menu, especially the crazy fried desserts, so I assumed they did fried food very well.
  
  For dinner, my husband made a good deli choice of a reuben sandwich and coleslaw. The sandwich was good and we enjoyed the coleslaw, but not really worth the $2 upcharge from the house made chips that comes with the sandwich. Even with the upcharge though, this was a very reasonably priced meal. I wanted a burger and with so many great choices I could not decide so went with the 1927 burger that drew me into this restaurant in the first place. Tasted like a fresh burger with fresh toppings and it lived up to my expectations beautifully. I upgraded my side to onion rings, and this was worth the upcharge. They were sweet and crispy and came with a dipping sriracha aioli sauce that delighted my taste buds. Overall a very satisfying meal, with great service, and good prices. We look forward to more meals and drinks at this establishment.

  I hesitate to write this for fear of losing my favorite spot at the bar, but... Amazing wings, sandwiches, burgers, and service consistently at Whiteway! I love hanging out at the bar, and always have great conversations with Marta and Morgan. We brought the wings to a tailgate one time and everyone went nuts over them! The prices are great, the atmosphere is chill and easygoing, but the service is absolutely outstanding. Will always be back!
